5 Stretching Exercises to do during Lockdown

If you are now working from home during lockdown, coach Lucile Woodward gave us some stretches to do throughout the day to relieve pain and tension caused by working remotely.

Trapezius
Pain in Trapezius muscles may appear as a consequence to work from home stress... Thus, Lucile insists on stretching those muscles by passing your right arm over your head to touch your left ear with your hand. Once done, tilt your head to the right, while leaving your left arm dropped to your side. Repeat the exercise on the other side.

The Back
To stretch the back, stand up and put both hands behind your buttocks, then go down while keeping the shoulders relaxed as much as possible and pushing the hips forward to dig the back. To accentuate the movement, raise the chest upwards and stretch your back nicely.

Intercostal Muscles
To stretch intercostal muscles, you must raise your arms and hold your hands up. Then you will go down on the sides while keeping your arms stretched before going back to the first position. Repeat the exercises on both sides for 2 mins.

Glutes and pyramids muscles of the back
To stretch the glutes and the pyramidal muscle, stand up, and put the left ankle on the right knee slightly bent. With your left hand, press on your left knee. As For the quadriceps, we must stretch the thigh, to do so, you must bend your right leg by taking your right ankle in your hand, the same goes for your left side.

The wrists
To relax the wrists, you will need to stand up bare feet, while bending your knees. Turn your hands so you can touch your toes with your palms. Now walk while curving your back to stretch it.
