Fasting has many beauty benefits. However, when you stop drinking water for 13 hours for instance, no wonder your skin is going to look tired and dull. Therefore, Ramadan is all about making the right choices to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.

How to keep your skin hydrated and glowing during the holy month of Ramadan?

Drinking water

Lack of water should be compensated by drinking around 8 glasses of water regularly between Iftar and Suhoor. When you provide your body with enough of water,it would help your skin stay hydrated all day. Also, some foods can be rich in fluids such as fruits and vegetables that can keep your body hydrated as well.

Limit Caffeine and Sugary drinks

When you stop drinking coffee, sugary drinks and soft drinks, you will be able to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day, because these drinks candry your body and leave you dehydrated. And clearly you don’t need that, especially during fasting.

Make healthy choices

It's up to you! When you choose fatty and processed foods, they will affect your skin badly, through oily secretion and acne. Thus, choose healthier foods off from your Iftar table, that contain antioxidants like berries, almonds and pomegranates. Also, provide your body with vitamins such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A and Vitamin E.

Skin care

Your skin needs extra care during Ramadan. Do not forget to use a moisturizing serum or cream to help you keep your skin hydrated during fasting. It is always recommendedto choosethe right face moisturizer for your skin type. Follow your skin care routine with cleansing, applying toner, serum and nourishing oils. Also, apply moisturizing and nourishing masks during Ramadan on a daily basis, and exfoliate twice a week.
