The Right DIY Hair Mask for Your Hair Type

In order to keep your hair glowy and silky, you will need to deep condition it. Thus, a hair mask would be very useful! And guess what? You can make the right hair mask for your hair type using natural ingredient found at home. Today, we’ll share with you some DIY hair mask to do at home:

 

 


DIY Mask for dry hair

Avocado is a rich source of vitamins which will nourish your scalp and strengthen your hair, while coconut oil or any essential oil you have, will deeply moisturize your hair. Thus, try this avocado and coconut oil hair mask if you have dry hair, you will need:

  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.
  • 1 medium avocado.
  • A shower cap.

Mash the avocado well, add coconut oil to it and mix well. Apply the avocado mask all over the hair, then put the shower cap on. Leave it for 30 minutes, then wash your hair and apply the conditioner. You can repeat it twice per week.

 

 


DIY Mask for oily hair

Yogurt helps in regulation of oil secretions and in treating some hair problems, such as fungus. As for honey, it nourishes the scalp and prevents infection. Therefore, a yogurt honey hair mask would be effective for oily hair. You will need:

- 1 cup of yogurt.

-  2 or 3 tablespoons of apple vinegar.

- 1 tablespoon of honey

Mix the ingredients together until you have a paste. Apply it all over your hair, from the roots to the ends, then leave it on for 30 - 40 minutes before washing it with shampoo. You can apply it 3 times a week.

 

 


DIY Mask for dyed hair

Dyed hair often suffers from breakage and damage, so olive oil and rosemary oil would be an ideal mask to soften the hair and restore it without damaging its color. To make a natural mask for dyed hair, you will need:

- ¼ cup of olive oil

- 5 drops of rosemary oil

Warm olive oil over the heat, then add rosemary oil to it. Apply the mask on your hair, then cover it with a shower cap. Leave the mask for at least 20 minutes, then wash it with shampoo, then condition. You can apply it twice a week.
