The new trend: facemask matched with your outfit

For many of us, the facemask has become an essential accessory for everyday, and fashion brands didn’t hesitate before making them available to their customers. The first brand, which took off with making facemasks was Off-White, embellished with arrows logo and sold for 105 dollars. It made a huge success, becoming the most searched items in the first quarter of 2020, according to Lyst index, which regularly reports rankings of the most requested brands on the internet.

Although Off-White facemasks were sold out on the website, however, Angelina Jolie managed to get herself the most wanted accessory of the year. The 45-year-old actress was spotted in the Italian brand’s facemask in August 5th at Los Angeles. Alongside her son Knox, with whom she was doing some shopping, Angelina opted for a full black outfit of a strappy dress and heeled mules pairing it with Off-White facemask.

Angelina wasn’t the first celebrity to match her outfit with facemask; earlier that week, Kate Middleton showed up in Amaia London made with Liberty print facemask, matching perfectly her white short-sleeved dress during a visit to associations.

While Jennifer Lopez went on Instagram to showcase her pink glittery Revolve mask on a bike ride with her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, and two children. Even amid of the pandemic, some stylistic touches are still allowed; anything to make facemasks more interesting than being an essential protective accessory.
