Design an Hermès silk square?

For the first time, Hermès offers artists, whether they are designers, illustrators or graphic designers, the opportunity to sign the iconic silk square of the Parisian label in a competition whose three winners will be announced in May 2020. Are we trying our luck? Symbol of the Parisian house, inseparable from the greatest fashion icons, worn around the neck or around the handle of a bag, the Hermès scarf has been for decades the indispensable accessory to the chic outfit of the Parisian. Since its creation in 1937, and its first drawing by Robert Dumas, the house has reproduced more than 2000 original drawings on silk for its collections. Today, after having invited many artists and designers such as Julio Le Parc or Daniel Buren, Hermès is pushing the creative horizons even further by creating the Grand Prix du Carré Hermès open for all those who possess artistic qualities. Designers, artists, illustrators, graphic designers, this contest aims to give three talents the opportunity to sign a square for the label. Selected by a jury composed of the members of the artistic direction and the "silk" department of the Parisian house, the three winners will receive the sum of 5000 €, corresponding to the redemption price of the original drawing in order to reproduce it in one of the future collections of Hermès.
