Celebrities react to Beirut blast

Lebanese and Arab stars interacted with the tragic blast that devastated Beirut’s port yesterday, Tuesday, August 4^th, killing hundreds of people, injuring thousands, and unknown number of missing citizens under the rubble. Consequently, social media platforms witnessed yesterday a state of mourning on all lost innocent souls as Lebanese expressed their deep sadness over their beloved city, including celebrities. How did the stars interact with the Beirut massive blast?

 

 

Elissa

Lebanese star Elissa expressed her great sadness after what happened in Beirut following the huge explosion, she tweeted to reassure everyone that she was safe and said: “My heart is aching from what happened in my country. My house is destroyed, but it doesn’t matter. May God protect Lebanon.”

In another tweet, "Sahibat Raai" songstress showed the chaos that affected her home and asked: "Who’s going to bring Beirut back?”

 

 

Nancy Ajram

 

The Lebanese star shared a picture of a tearful eye showing the Lebanese flag inside, and expressed her sadness by simply saying: "Tears is what we have left.”

 

Nadine Njeim

 

Lebanese actress and former Miss Lebanon Nadine Njeim was injured by Beirut blast and her home was damaged. She confirmed that she underwent a 6-hour surgery, but she is doing fine. Nadine published a video in which she showed her home damage and commented: "This cannot be described in words. Those who enter the house and see the blood and how everything is destroyed, he would say thank God we’re alive...”

“I underwent a surgery for 6 hours, but what I have seen on the streets is so hard and cannot be described.”

She concluded, saying: "Thank you, Lord, for protecting me, and thank God, my children are fine and safe. They weren’t at home when this happened."

On the other hand, "Lobat Al Mawt" series star was shocked following the big explosion at Beirut’s port, and shared a video of the blast saying: "Is this really a firecracker explosion? Oh Lord, save us."

 

Haifa Wehbe

 

Likewise, the star who filed a lawsuit against her former manager, Mohammad Al-Waziri, expressed pain and grief over Beirut, saying: “My heart is in pain over Beirut. This is the ugliest day in my life. Oh Lord, have mercy on those who were martyred. Don't forget Lebanon in your prayers.”

The Lebanese star shared a tweet with her fans, describing how Lebanese people feel after the explosion and said: "Beirut is going through a dark night and is in deep sorrow, this night will be unforgettable for Lebanese people."

 

Jessy Abdo

After the loss of her father in a tragic accident, actress Jessy Abdo has not been exempt of more catastrophe, as she expressed her grief through a black and white picture of the explosion and commented: "My heart is aching... Death doesn’t scare me anymore, but life does. God bless innocent souls, who died today, and relieve the pain of the injured.”

 

Ahlam

 

Despite living in a different country, the Emirati star Ahlam was staying up to date with the latest news on the Lebanese tragedy. She tweeted: "May God protect you. Oh Lord, Protect Lebanon and its people." She also called people to donate blood to hospitals.

 

Daniella Rahme

The actress and the former Miss Lebanon Emigrant expressed her heartbreak and said: "God bless the martyrs and protect Lebanon from evil... Lebanon is not fine ... I am not fine."

 

Rima Fakih

Miss USA 2010 called everyone to pray for Beirut and said: " Something doesn’t seem right this can’t be a result of a fireworks warehouse or some ship We need answers we need change NOW.”

 

Rawan Bin Hussain

Likewise, Kuwaiti influencer Rawan Bin Hussain showed her solidarity with Lebanese people and published a photo on her Instagram calling for donations: "Oh my lovely Lebanon! You broke our hearts…May the Lord protect Lebanon and our Arab countries from all evil. For those who are in Lebanon, if you can donate blood, please do, and open your houses for others. "
