The Fitness Mega Challenge takes place in collaboration with Threshold, a company founded by international fitness expert Amine Dib, who, as well as being a former Lebanese TaeKwonDo national team member, is known across the Arab world for the exhilarating Hannibal Race. An overnight sensation, the race took over the Arab world with its series of obstacles and courses uniquely designed to test the participants’ mental and emotional fitness, revealing a sense of accomplishment and celebrating triumph.
At 11am on Saturday 28, the Fitness Mega Challenge will officially open with participants being welcomed in style on the red carpet. From midday to 3pm, a range of competitions will be underway including but not limited to paddle boarding by SPA Phoenicia, ZLag Board and tension block by URock, and the Super Ring Swing by Hannibal Race.
There will also be the chance to test your emotional intelligence at the SPA Phoenicia GX Studio, while a rafter of fun competitions, stage shows and classes will continue through the afternoon with valuable prizes awaiting the winners. Making a splash in the pool will be on the agenda with a water basketball free throw competition and game later in the day.
The event will conclude in the early evening with a nail-biting end to the day as guests gather to cheer on Bob Abou Mrad in his bid to smash the Guinness World Record for the longest static cycling class. From Friday afternoon through to Saturday evening, Abou Mrad will compete across 27 consecutive hours to secure his place in the world record books.
