Meghan Markle Kicks Off a Fashion Marathon in Colombia

Arriving to Bogotá with her husband Prince Harry for a four-day stay, the Duchess of Sussex chose a selection of outfit that were both stylish and luxurious.

On every trip, Prince Harry, provides Meghan Markle with an opportunity to excel in fashion. This was evident once again when the couple flew to Colombia. The couple had accepted an invitation from the country’s Vice President, Francia Márquez, in preparation for the first Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, which will be held in the country in November. Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by Francia Márquez, and the Duke and Duchess proceeded with a series of meetings and events, all while showcasing a touch of diplomatic elegance.

Few hours earlier, Meghan Markle wore an elegant ensemble featuring a navy-blue sleeveless vest with gold buttons and matching tailored trousers. The outfit was designed by Veronica Beard, an American luxury sportswear label founded in 2010. To complete her look with added flair, she styled her hair in a tight bun and accessorized with Pippa Small stud earrings, black pumps, and a Loro Piana handbag.

A "Quiet Luxury" Professional

This "quiet luxury" trend—where one does not flaunt luxury clothing and accessories out of elegance or modesty—was embodied by Meghan Markle on the same day during a conference in Bogotá. Seated between her husband and Vice President Francia Márquez, the Duchess opted for a chocolate-colored ensemble consisting of a loose, unbuttoned blouse, a long satin skirt and open-toe pumps.

The next day, the Duchess of Sussex chose a linen blazer from Loro Piana, once again, paired with Chanel pumps, for a visit to the La Giralda public school in Bogotá. For this occasion, she carried a small Cesta bag. She was later photographed in a white shirt and a silk patterned skirt by Giuliva Heritage and Colombian brand Juan de Dios, respectively, during a training session with the national team in preparation for the Invictus Games. The following day, Prince Harry’s wife appeared in a white and black ensemble by Johanna Ortiz during a visit to a drum school in Cartagena.

It remains to be seen which outfit the Duchess will choose for their visit to Cali.
