Anthony Vaccarello, creative director of Saint Laurent since 2016, opened Paris Fashion Week with a spectacular spring/summer 2026 show that captured the essence of YSL: provocative, glamorous, and unapologetically bold. Set in a vast French garden at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the runway was lined with white hydrangeas cleverly arranged to spell YSL.

The collection unfolded in three striking chapters. First, models in leather ensembles: corsets, skirts, jackets, and military caps that evoked a daring, confident femininity, nodding to Robert Mapplethorpe’s provocative imagery. This was followed by fluid nylon raincoats and day dresses, form-fitting yet revealing, demonstrating YSL’s fearless embrace of nudity and sensuality. The final passage was romantic and voluminous, with ruffled, flowing dresses that maintained glimpses of the female form, combining softness and strength in true Saint Laurent style.

Bella Hadid made a notable return to the runway, moving gracefully through the garden in sleek vinyl trench coats and leather pieces, embodying the modern YSL woman: powerful, elegant, and unafraid to command attention.

The guest list was as iconic as the runway as it included: Madonna with her daughter Lourdes, Betty Catherine Deneuve, Jean Paul Gaultier, Carla Bruni, Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz, and Linda Evangelista, all witnessing a show that celebrated the house’s legendary codes of glamour and rebellion.
