Hachis Parmentier


2 kg potatoes
½ cup of milk
½ cup of fresh cream
a small spoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of condiment
¼  teaspoon of nutmeg
500 g fine minced veal
Medium-size onion
Salt and pepper for taste
2 tablespoons of pine nuts
Bread crumbs to cover
2 tablespoons of butter cut into cubes


How to prepare

-    Boil and mash potatoes, then add milk and cream with spices and mix well. Divide the mixture into two parts and set aside.
-    In a bowl over the heat, cook the onion until it becomes light brown, then add the pine and meat with the spices and stir until done.
-    Grease an oven tray with butter, then extend the first part of the potato and add the meat mixture over it.
-    Place the second section of the potato and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
