You might think work from home is a piece of cake, as you get to work freely in a comfortable place. However, no one would tell you the truth about it. In fact, working from home can become a nightmare if you’re not well-prepared for it, which means it can lead you to: feeling unable to get things done or non-stop working.
Thus, work from home needs organization and productivity improvements.
4 Tricks to improve productivity while working from home.
Plan a Schedule
First things first, you have to plan a schedule, where you write down all your daily tasks and the expected time to be done. Also, you might need to put away all kinds of distractions including smartphones, social media and even family members around.
Choose a place
For better productivity performance, you have to choose a nice corner or desk, invest in a comfy chair and the most important thing is to work in a quiet room, away from any annoying noise that might disrupt your focus.
Take a Break
Working for 4-6 hours straight will drain your energy. Therefore, divide your day between working hours and breaks. For instance, after 90 – 120 minutes take a 15-minute break. This would recharge your energy and make you perform your tasks better.
Morning/ Nightly Routine
Make a nightly routine by writing a list, take a few notes of what needs to be done first thing in the morning. The next day, you’ll be fully ready to hit those tasks with high energy. However, take some time to do you morning routine, have a breakfast go for a jog before work begins.
