Tina Khalil: from Clueless to a Pro

A wife and a mom of two babies, Tina is the cook behind @mrsclueless on Instagram, where she shares easy recipes and day to day adventures as a stay at home mom with more than 60 K followers.

After many failures in the kitchen, Tina never gave up, she turned the failures into successful recipes.  She had zero experience in the kitchen thus the name of her page Mrs Clueless. However, Tina managed to gain more followers as her cooking became better. She recently launched her website which has most of her recipes as well as her online store where she sells funky kitchen items.

Your latest creation?
My banana cake, it has become so popular amongst my followers. It’s so easy to make, delicious, and everyone loves it!

Your favourite ingredient?
I have so many! But if I had to choose only one it would be cinnamon powder. I use it with my desserts as well as all the Lebanese food I make. It’s such a flavour enhancer, basically makes everything taste a million times better.

Where do you get inspiration from?
My inspiration in the kitchen is definitely my grandmother. Growing up with her around got me used to have exquisite homemade meals. Because of her, I feel that the kitchen not only produces food, but memories as well .I grew up in her kitchen, helping her prepare the most delicious meals and desserts. She’s the one who has guided me with most of my recipes and I plan on creating memories for my kids with every meal I make.

The perfect gift?
I’m obsessed with sorting and labelling everything in my kitchen, it creates a more enjoyable cooking process for me as well as keeps everything organized. So I would say glass storage jars with a cool label machine to create the perfect pantry.

favourite website?
I’m obsessed with cooking blogs, I get most of my inspiration from them. My favourite would be halfbakedharvest.com

Your favourite holiday destination?
Ubud, Bali. Not only is it beautiful, but the food there is on another level. The island is like a beautiful dream you don’t want to wake up from.
