Ramadan Iftar Table: Decorate it the right way

Home décor or table styling can never be complete without a touch of love. What if it was your child’s birthday, a newborn baby or your special event…? Brigitte Daher, home & event stylist behind @sincerleyyours, surely knows how to add this priceless touch into your home. She is an inspiration for many with her creative ideas, and today she shared with us some tips on how to decorate Iftar table in a modern and trendy way with a short video.

When and How did you start home styling?

Although I studied graphic design and worked as an advertiser but my passion was leaning towards home and event styling. I discovered this passion back to when I was working at Patchi, chocolatier. However, being a mom is a lot easier when working as a freelancer from home; it suited me better and gave me more time to take care of my children. Thus, I launched my event styling page Sincerely Yours, two years ago.

Many people asked for workshops to learn event styling, therefore, I started sharing DIY videos and tutorials on my page, only few months ago.

Who encouraged you or inspired you?

During lockdown, one follower sent me a message expressing how much she loved my content and how she feels inspired by it, seeing the positive and brighter side of life. Feedbacks like these encourage me and inspire me to spread positive energy through my styling and share new inspiring ideas every day.

What’s the story behind naming your page Sincerely Yours?

I named it @sincerelyyours, because every arrangement or decoration comes truly from the heart. I feel like working from your heart brings joy to every occasion and to the family. Plus, I always love to decorate for customized events with creative ideas, that can be something made really special for the family

What are the trends for decorating Ramadan Iftar table this year? Any tips?

Ramadan decorations can always be simple yet modern and trendy. It’s not always about shiny lanterns or over-decorations.

We can be minimalist and trendy with our table decorations, some trends include:

  • Arabesque shape: the gold laser cut underplates.
  • Metallic colors: Gold and silver.
  • Dry flowers
  • A mix of oriental and French sweets:  Macarons with pistachio, chocolates with traditional nuts and fruits.
