With the progressive future that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia envisions for women, one cannot deny the talent and strength behind every woman in the Kingdom. While some of these talents are yet to be uncovered, others are taking the steps and starting their own businesses. And to encourage these super women, Marriam Mossalli’s “Under the Abaya” organization is launching a Women’s month campaign, where women support other women and help them get the exposure they deserve.
“Under the Abaya” is not only a street style book, but also a non-profit initiative that promotes women empowerment through academic scholarships awarded from 100% of the proceeds of book sales.
Marriam Mossalli, the girl boss behind Niche Arabia, the premier luxury communications agency in the GCC, and author of the book, is continuing her efforts in empowering Saudi women, and this time with a new initiative: The Under the Abaya’s women month campaign, one that is all about Saudi women empowering other women.
Every Wednesday, one of Saudi’s top lifestyle icons will generously give her Instagram page to a woman who owns a small business, that she believes deserves to have the spotlight, for 24 hours. On the first Wednesday of this Women’s Month, Saudi marketing specialist Nojoud al Rumaihi, Jeddah-based beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger Lama Al Akeel, Saudi make-up artist, blogger and YouTuber Yara Al Namlah, and fashion blogger and stylist Sausan Al Kadi, are participating in this really inspiring initiative empowering fellow businesswomen in the Kingdom.
