29-November-2023

The 33rd Gotham Awards ceremony and its guests took over the Cipriani Wall Street in New York on November 27, to honor independent films.
Gotham, the cinematic nickname for New York City, was the fitting location for the ceremony on November 27. The Gotham Awards traditionally mark the beginning of the awards season in the film industry. Among the contenders this year were some of the year's most significant productions, such as Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" and Sofia Coppola's "Priscilla." Additionally, a French film, Justine Triet's "Anatomie d'une chute," won the awards for Best International Feature and Best Screenplay. The event also provided an opportunity for specially selected guests to gather on the red carpet, showcasing an array of glamorous outfits.
Bradley Cooper arrived arm-in-arm with Carey Mulligan, his co-star in "Maestro," who was wearing an asymmetrical dress. Natalie Portman posed in a strapless gown by Dior, and Penelope Cruz in a white dress from Chanel's autumn-winter ready-to-wear collection. Margot Robbie chose a transparent cape from Prada, while Julianne Moore subtly hinted at her lingerie. Michelle Williams and Rachel McAdams, meanwhile, opted for plunging necklines. This discreet yet successful red carpet event marked the first of many to come.
