Here are the fall 2017 top runway trends

Bright red

The runways are filled with all-red ensembles: Givenchy has launched his new line of red coats, Tod’s showed off its latest monochromatic looks, and Fendi has recently released a collection of power-red boots.

Glitter boots

Glitter boots are in style for the fall season! Who could forget the sensational Chanel space boots or Saint-Laurent’s sparkling pair worn by Rihanna?

‘70s plaid

Yes ladies, the Scottish crisscross design is back! You can gather some inspiration from the fashion shows where you can see Jenny Packham plaid dresses, Prada plaid coats and Tome plaid trousers.

Vintage hats

Have you ever noticed those fur or shearling hats in old movies? Well, people finally realized how beautiful they are and that they should be brought back to life. Marc Jacobs, Coach 1941 and Maison Margiela are among the brands we have to thank for this major comeback.

Shoulder pads

The “I stole my man’s jacket” trend is back. On the menu: oversized ‘grandpa’ jackets with shoulder pads. This style was frequently adopted by Alexander Wang in his recent runway shows.

Nylon coats

No, not those that make you look like a body bag. Michael Kors, Stella McCartney and Céline have created a modern version of nylon coats, and we love them already.

Below-the-knee

The mid-length skirt is a piece we’ve always found classy, and knowing that it’s in style again is everything! You can see it in Christian Dior’s runway as well as the Victoria Beckham and Loewe fall collection.
