24-October-2024
The designer recently unveiled the first look of the "Moudhi" collection at a captivating presentation on the sidelines of the 2nd edition of Riyadh Fashion Week. The event drew a lively crowd of fashion enthusiasts, influencers, and VIPs, all eager to experience the artistry and cultural significance of this new line.
The designs of the new collection incorporate elements of Najd's rich heritage, featuring embroidery inspired by the region’s ornate doors and traditional Wadi ad-Dawasir techniques. Named after Moudhi Al-Bassam, an influential Saudi female figure who played an influential role during the establishment of the Kingdom in where she tended to those that were injured during battles around the region and aided the poor and needy.
Inspired by the essence of a Najdi woman—generous, compassionate, elegant, and strong—this collection pays homage to the past while connecting with the modern Saudi woman. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to reflect elegance and strength, offering a contemporary take on tradition.
Standout pieces include a pistachio dress adorned with a gold bow, requiring 200 hours of meticulous embroidery, and a regal sand-colored cape. Luxurious fabrics like cashmere and silk crepe enhance the collection, which boasts a rich palette of platinum, bronze, gold, and amber.
