"You can stand under my umbrella..." On Monday during the second red carpet of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, Rihanna made a dramatic and unexpected entrance that left the crowd stunned. Defying tradition, the 37-year-old superstar skipped the customary red carpet walk for the out-of-competition screening of “Highest 2 Lowest”—the latest film by Spike Lee, starring her partner and father of her two children, rapper A$AP Rocky.
Instead, she joined him later in the evening for the descent of the steps, walking hand in hand in a striking display of unity and glamour.
The Barbadian singer, who recently made headlines by announcing her third pregnancy at the Met Gala, proudly showcased her baby bump in a breathtaking turquoise Alaïa gown, complete with a daring thigh-high slit.
The vibrant hue seemed to nod to her new single Friend of Mine, recorded for the upcoming Smurfs movie, in which “Bad Gal Riri” lends her voice to Smurfette in the original version.
