PFW: Lebanese Designers Steal the Show
We're in love with those designs.
27-January-2018
January ended with flying colors thanks to Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018 edition. And what made it even better is the Lebanese designers who showed their phenomenal inter-seasonal collections. Here is our selection of the Lebanese couturiers during PFW.
Zuhair Murad gave us a first look on his latest collection that mostly contains fringes and bold flower prints. What particularly caught our attention is the very sophisticated and detailed bridal collection. The creator mostly focused on veil decorations and hair jewels.
Georges Chakra privileged light, pastel shades as well as transparency. The ruffles created a lot of movement in Chakra’s pieces. He played a bit with the lengths by pairing short dresses with longer gilets, which gives his collection a particular charm.
Elie Saab’s collection is all about the sexy goddess look. Sparkling maxi gowns, sensual furry details, princess-like bowties… We can’t get enough of them!
It seems that Georges Hobeika’s lucky color is yellow gold, because his latest collection is to die for. Yes, most of the pieces are in yellow gold, and we totally dig them. He also focused on transparency and pure colors such as baby pink, pastel blue and white.
And last but not least, the great Ziad Nakad. The Lebanese couturier used thick fabrics for most of his gowns, and oddly enough, he managed to make those wintery pieces look very light and gracious. And to make his collection even more fascinating, he added some beautiful embroidery.
