The Golden Globes are all about the awards, but also about who steps into the room carrying a story… and this year’s 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, the Lebanese international designer Tony Ward was part of that story. As the red carpet lit up at The Beverly Hilton, his dresses moved across it in different forms, worn by women who each brought their own style and unique flair.
The evening unfolded with Tony Ward’s statement pieces translating what Tony has always believed in, and that is fashion does not belong to a single mood. It belongs to the moment it enters, and to the woman who wears it.
On the arrivals carpet, Jeannie Mai wore a piece from Tony Ward’s Of Silk and Steel Ready-to-Wear Fall Winter 2025/26 collection: a black strapless silhouette hand embroidered with gold chain details and a bold slit that balanced strength and elegance. Set against the collection’s theme of duality, where soft draping meets defined structure, her look captured that balance with a subtle rhythm.

Skylar Diggins-Smith brought forward Beneath the Tide, Tony Ward’s Spring-Summer 2026 Ready-to-Wear direction. Her asymmetric, long draped sequined dress in blue taffeta layered dramatic volume with sleek lines, is nothing but a nod to the collection’s fluid interplay between movement and shape, where light, texture, and proportion work in harmony under the same DNA.

On the couture side, Oona Chaplin went for a gown from the Twilight Reverie Spring-Summer 2025 Couture collection. The black and gold silk gown structured with its pleated bodice and rich contrasts, translated the collection’s dialogue of shadow and gleam, where structured detail meets refined fluidity in pieces that feel modern yet lived-in.

And the night marked a special moment for Jean Smart, who was recognized with the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy for her work on Hacks. Her choice of Tony Ward Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2025/26 dress reflected an effortless grace and quiet precision, elegantly bridging classic presence with contemporary ease. She wore a flowing white kaftan-like dress with intricate refined embroidery and soft fabric.
