Hilary Swank Wears Elie Saab at Her Wedding
26-August-2018
Hilary Swank and Philip Schneider got married this week, and we couldn’t keep our eyes off her fantastic couture wedding gown!
The producer and actress opted for a dress created by Lebanese designer Elie Saab. 25 meters of Chantilly lace, 8 meters of silk chiffon, and 6 meters of organza silk all sewed into a phenomenal haute couture wedding gown.
“I’ve loved Elie Saab for years and was thrilled to have him design my dress. I wanted something romantic that felt as timeless as the redwood grove where we were to be married, and he delivered—designing something that far surpassed my greatest expectations. It was everything I imagined and more”, said Swank.
Oh, and did we forget to mention that the one and only Christian Louboutin designed both hers and the groom’s shoes? “They were the absolute perfect complement to the custom dresses—and having him create something so thoughtful for our special day made it even more special,” she says. “To top it off, Christian surprised me by also designing Philip’s formal shoes and tap shoes—which Philip didn’t reveal to me until right before the ceremony and our dance!”
