How to get the Glass Skin

The world is dazzled by the beauty and clarity of the Korean women’s skin. It just looks almost perfect with its luminous, radiant and youthful complexion. What’s the secret behind this flawless skin?
A few years ago, Koreans introduced the Glass Skin which went viral on social media, with skin care routines and even makeup to achieve the Glass Skin look. While the name comes from the similarity of this fresh looking skin to the luster and purity of the glass.

What is Glass Skin?

Glass Skin is a concept originated in South Korea in 2016. It is basically a healthy skin as it looks glowy and almost free from open pores. Balance and firmness are the key to creating a glass-like skin.

How the Glass Skin look is achieved?

4 essential elements achieve the Glass Skin:
1-Deep cleansing,
2-Proper hydration,
3-Use of antioxidants,
4- Skin massage

You can find below a step-by-step guide on how to achieve clear, glowing, glass-like skin.

Step 1: Double cleanse
First, Glass Skin is based on double cleansing. As the name implies, the trick is to cleanse the face twice. You can begin by using an oil-based facewash to remove makeup and dirt sticking inside skin’s pores. Take your time by gently massage the skin. Second, re-wash the face with a water-based facewash, also massage the skin, to deeply cleanse pores and stimulate blood circulation. Then, dry the skin by gently patting it using a towel. Make sure to keep your skin slightly hydrated, to be able to absorb the following lotions.

Step 2: Exfoliate
No clear healthy skin is achieved without exfoliation. Thus, it is an important step you shouldn’t miss within the Korean skin care routine. Exfoliating your skin will rid you of dead skin cells that dull skin and clog pores. However, don’t overdo it. Two to three times weekly is ideal to avoid irritations, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Step 3: Serum
Serum is also an inevitable ally for obtaining the Glass Skin. The serum provides a combination of active ingredients that can nourish, moisturize and provide antioxidants for the skin. Experts advise facial massage while applying serum on the face to help lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness, and ensure the skin’s full care that makes it really shiny inside out.

Step 4: Moisturizer
If you think the serum is enough to moisturize the skin, you are wrong. You will need the moisturizer as a final step to seal inall the products you’ve applied before. Also, it’s important to make sure your moisturizer fits the needs of your skin type.
