Tension was palpable

Harry and Meghan attended Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey with other senior royals, as a farewell to their royal commitments. However, the atmosphere wasn’t free from tensions and awkward moments. According to the Daily Mail, Meghan and Harry were upset to learn they would not be permitted to join the Queen, the Cornwalls and Cambridges, instead they were told they'd have to make their own way to their seats and wait before the arrival of other senior royals.
To avoid additional tension, William and Kate stepped in to defuse the situation. The Cambridges offered to join Harry and Meghan as they waited in their seats for the Queen, Charles and Camilla to arrive.
