Lemon Lavender Cake

2 cups of flour

2 tablespoons baking powder

2 medium eggs

¾ cup of sugar

½ cup of lemon juice

3 tablespoons of melted butter

1 tablespoon of dried lavender or lavender flavor


Lemon sauce

¼ cup of lemon juice

2 tablespoons of sugar


How to prepare

Mix flour with baking powder then set aside.

In another bowl, beat eggs with sugar until smooth. Add lemon juice, butter and lavender then whisk again.

Add the flour mixture and whisk until it becomes homogeneous.

Place the cake mixture in a rectangular tray in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Test the cake using a wooden toothpick; if it comes out dry then your cakes is ready!

Pour the lemon sauce over the hot cake.

Let it cool down before serving.
