Spring 2021 Nail Art Trend: Ride The Wave

We’re always in for some fun and cool nail art, starting with the checkered nails on to stripes and rainbow prints, and we always have our radars on for the newest nail art trends.

If you take a look at the coolest girls and best nail artists’ Instagram accounts, you’ll find that one thing in common, a nail art that’ll make you either think of summer and beaches or of sweet candy; we frankly have been thinking of both! Wavy nails are everywhere and the swirls come in different colors, shapes and styles.

In the past few weeks, you can’t be scrolling through Instagram without spotting the 70’s-style inspired manicure. When it comes to colors, nail artists are either going with pop-color combinations which we are loving for a spring nail art update, or are preferring a good basic color combination that goes well with all outfits.

As for the shapes and styles, waves and swirls differ also, sometimes we saw the quiet ones that wave peacefully, others that are so abstract, and we also spotted the psychedelic swirls that look so fast and active.

To get those waves at home, you can do that mainly with the one-color and the simple ones (We recommend you just leave the complicated styles to your nail artist). Start first by painting the base of your nails with a nude or a light pink shade, then pick a really thin brush, choose the color, and paint a wave randomly on your nails. Make sure the waves aren’t all the same to create a fun and trendy look.
