Ramadan Kallaj

Ingredients

1 box of phyllo dough

3 cups of milk

1/2 cup of fresh cream

3 tablespoons of cornstarch

2 tablespoons of semolina

4 tablespoons of sugar

1 tablespoon of orange blossom water

1 cup of syrup

1/2 cup of ground pistachios

 

How to prepare

Heat 2 cups of milk over a fire.

In a bowl, mix cornstarch with the remaining cup of milk, then add the sugar and semolina.

Add the mixture to the milk on a stove and stir until thick.

Add the cream and stir, then remove from heat.

Add blossom water.

To prepare the kalaj, dip each phyllo dough in a wide tray full of it, then stuff each with a tablespoon of the filling and apply well.

Fry in oil over a heat until browned, then cover with syrup.

Garnish with pistachios and serve.
