Saudi designer Arwa Al Bannawi took her talent, culture, and spirit and joined forces with German sportswear giant adidas Originals to recreate one of the brand’s most iconic sneakers. And yes, she infused her Middle Eastern roots and western perspective into the design.

The designer who has always been seeking to empower women of her region, has proven her skills in creating feminine streetwear that’ll make the woman who wears them confident, beautiful and unique. She did the same with the newly designed shoes in partnership with adidas.

The classic sneakers are definitely at their best version, they come in pastel desert hues and feature a woven red and white heel cap.
The young and successful designer clearly cared so much for the details as she chose to pay homage to her culture and personal vibe so she got inspired by her spirit animal, the Ibex. We saw the hand-stitched embroidery and the traditional Arabic tailoring with the choice of red and white woven fabric. As a whole, the classic “Forum” sneakers are a piece of a perfect Eastern-Western mix.
The minute the Saudi Arabian renowned designer shared the news on Instagram, influencers among whom Jessica Kahawaty and Lana Al Sahely expressed their excitement for the launch.
Brace yourselves because the sneakers launch globally on the 28th of May.
