Tiktok Glasses Technique Is What Your Dark Circles Need ASAP

Drawing a pair of sunglasses (2 circles joined by an arc) around the eyes with a concealer would be the it-technique to camouflage dark circles and boost your look in seconds, according to the viral TikTok videos everyone is talking about right now.

Have we been applying our concealer wrong? A new makeup tutorial that has gone viral on TikTok is waking our doubts. The social network known for being full of beauty tips has created a new way of applying concealer around the eyes to create a really shiny effect.

The technique

Draw the shape of a pair of eyeglasses on the face with concealer, then blend with a makeup sponge or with a brush. According to many beauty fans who tested and approved this surprising technique, it would both hide dark circles and bags perfectly and will “lift” the look.

The "eyeglasses" method step by step

According to the tutorials posted on TikTok, which have exceeded hundreds of thousands of views, all you have to do is choose a concealer one or two shades lighter than your foundation, draw two arcs of circles around the eyes, one on the eyelid and the other under the eye, connect the two round shapes with a horizontal line on the nose (we still haven’t figured out why this step is useful). Then, draw two lines on the outer corners of the eyes, going to the temples, like an eyeliner. Finally, finish by blending all with a wet makeup sponge or a complexion brush.

The amount of concealer applied in this hack is much greater than what is usually recommended, and that obviously gives more coverage. A notable advantage is that applying concealer to the eyelid is a good base that will allow your eye makeup to stay longer. As for the so-called “lifting” effect: the “strobing” style certainly helps to illuminate the eyes. But the result remains very subtle.
