During the evening, Steven Spielberg was awarded in the categories of best dramatic film for his latest autobiographical feature The Fabelmans, and best director. Austin Butler was awarded best actor in a dramatic film for his performance in the biopic Elvis. On the female side, Cate Blanchett won the Best Actress in a Dramatic Film award for her role as a conductor in Tár.
