Panic Attack?
Have you ever experienced it?
23-August-2017
There are plenty of anxious people around us, whether it's because of work, college, financial or family problems... But it's sometimes possible to lose control of your stress, so much that it can cause a panic attack.
What does 'panic attack' actually mean?
A panic attack is a manifestation of the body in response to an excess of anxiety. It's the fear of fear itself, in other words, it's the fear that something bad will happen in the near future.
Symptoms to take into consideration
Panic attacks occur suddenly; this is why they're called 'attacks'. The anguish is so intense that the affected person thinks he's dying. There are also feelings of depersonalization, which makes you feel detached from yourself, and derealization, which is the feeling of unreality. Tremors, dizziness, vomiting, sweating, tachycardia... all those elements must be taken into consideration during a panic attack.
In case your panic attacks are repetitive, you might have GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). In this case, it's absolutely necessary to consult a professional who could possibly get rid of these anxiogenic episodes.
