Founder of Playboy Magazine Dead at 91
May he rest in peace...
28-September-2017
We have the regret to announce that Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine, has passed away. He was 91 years old. It was confirmed that he died of natural causes at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles on the night of September 27.
Cooper Hefner, Hefner’s son and chief creative officer of Playboy Enterprises, said: “My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom. He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history.”
Our sincere condolences go to Hugh Hefner’s wife Crystal, his sons Cooper, David and Marston, and his daughter Christie.
