The latest Weekend Max Mara Signature Collection for Fall/Winter 2024-2025, co-designed with American actress Lucy Hale, embodies the adventurous spirit of a road trip into the wilderness.
Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Hale describes the collection, named Joyroad, as “joyful, authentic and Western.” The collection draws inspiration from an imagined journey tracing Hale’s ancestral roots, celebrating her love of nature and her pursuit of individuality, self-acceptance, and freedom.
The collection artfully balances Western charm, urban sophistication, and outdoor resilience. Fringed details evoke a cowboy spirit, accenting pieces such as a supple leather jacket, suede trousers and the iconic Pasticcino Bag enhanced with braided embellishments and tarnished metal boule clasps. Denim dominates with loose-fit jeans and miniskirts featuring studded embroidery and nuanced washes for a faded or chiaroscuro effect.
