From sharp suits to fabulous hats, horseracing has long been associated with glamour and magnificent fashion, and Dubai Racing Club is taking the occasion to a new level on Friday 24 January for Fashion Friday, presented by Longines.

Meydan Racecourse will host an exciting evening of racing and fashion, featuring the G1 Jebel Hatta and G1 Al Maktoum Challenge, with world-class horses like Romantic Warrior making their debut. The Style Stakes, a three-part fashion series presented by Emaar, kicks off on 24 January, followed by editions on 1 March and 5 April 2025, culminating at the Dubai World Cup.

A prestigious judging panel of regional and international fashion icons will evaluate the stylish attendees. Jockeys will compete for a total prize pool of AED10.5M across nine races.

  •  Fidaa Baddour, Founder of Moksyz, a company dedicated to bringing innovative and bespoke solutions to the luxury industry
  • Mariam AlYassi, Emirati designer and Founder of Mim Design
  • Sarah Silsbury, Dubai-based British Stylist and Personal Shopper
  • Vivien Sheriff, distinguished British Milliner renowned for her exceptional and innovative headwear designs

They will each be eagerly searching for winners for the following categories:

  • Best Dressed Lady
  • Best Dressed Man
  • Best Dressed Couple
  • Best Hat

All racegoers with hospitality tickets are encouraged to take part in the competition and be in with the chance of winning fantastic prizes and automatic entry into the Style Stakes finale event at the spectacular Dubai World Cup on Saturday, 5 April 2025.

Luxury brands including Clarins, Vivien Sheriff, Kayali and Moksyz will be bringing the event to life, not only with incredible prizes but guests can also enjoy beauty pop-ups, millinery displays, activations and fashion shows, with a live DJ set by Tala Samman.

The Style Stakes has a dress code, which must be followed by those looking to be in with a chance of winning. Guests are kindly reminded that, for women, a hat or fascinator is mandatory, shoulders covered, and hemlines should fall no lower than just above the knee.

Men must wear a tie or bow tie, and casual wear will not be accepted. Over AED14,000 worth of prizes from our partner brands will be awarded to the stylish winners.

To enter, guests can register on the door or via one the Dubai Racing Club Style Stakes Ambassadors, who will be available to assist throughout the venue. The competition, taking place in Concourse 3 of the Meydan Grandstand, will begin at 5pm. Winners will be announced at 9pm, allowing plenty of time to celebrate and enjoy the racing afterparty!
