Jacob Elordi caused a stir on the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival on Sunday, just moments before the world premiere of Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein”.

While greeting fans gathered behind the security barriers, the Australian actor suddenly lost his cool after a guard asked him to stop taking photos. “I’m going to take a picture here,” Elordi retorted, visibly irritated, before sharply adding with a tense expression and clenched jaw: “Don’t tell me what to do.” The security officer chose not to react further, likely to prevent the situation from escalating.

The scene quickly spread across social media, sparking debate among fans. Some criticized Elordi’s behavior as “rude,” “disrespectful,” and “arrogant.” One user wrote, “The old man was just trying to do his job.” Others, however, defended the actor, suggesting his frustration came from wanting to show appreciation to his fans. “They had been waiting for hours for a chance at a photo or autograph,” one comment read. “He just wanted to give them some love.”

Despite the tense moment, Elordi later walked the red carpet, striking poses for photographers in a sleek black Bottega Veneta tuxedo paired with a crisp white cotton shirt, bow tie, and Roma dress shoes.

Earlier in the day, for the Frankenstein photocall, he wore another custom look from the house: fluid cotton twill trousers styled with a cotton shirt.
