Maria Grazia Chiuri Debuts Fall/Winter 2027 at Fendi

After nearly ten years of success at Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri returns to Rome, her hometown, to lead the creative direction of the collections at the iconic Italian luxury house Fendi, founded in 1925. It is a homecoming to a house she knows well, having begun her career there in 1989 in the accessories department, working alongside Pierpaolo Piccioli (now creative director of Balenciaga) for ten years. Together, they later joined Valentino, which Maria Grazia Chiuri left in 2016 to become artistic director of the women’s collections at Christian Dior.
“I return to Fendi with honor and joy, after having had the privilege of beginning my career under the direction of the house’s five founding sisters. Fendi has always been a breeding ground for talent and a starting point for many creatives in the industry, thanks to the extraordinary ability of these five women to encourage and nurture generations through their vision and expertise,” she said in October. Today, for this first landmark show, the designer delivers a powerful tribute to Fendi.

Fendi Fall-Winter 2026–2027 Show
Total Elegance
On the runway at the brand’s Milan headquarters, male and female models share a streamlined wardrobe featuring signature details that pay homage to the house. The lines are clean and structured, the silhouette modern. A total elegance without excessive sophistication. Muted tones are chosen to highlight the fabrics and the house’s ancestral craftsmanship: black, gray, cream beige, sheer fabrics and crystals, lace over trouser suits, tuxedo jackets, feminine blouses with openwork panels, and men’s shirts with bib fronts. Pieces that stand on their own, forming the ideal wardrobe for the active woman of 2026. Others, more distinctive, punctuate the show with original touches: a camouflage fur patchwork jacket, a zebra-print coat, a sleeveless fur-trimmed vest…

And of course, accessories are not forgotten: from the iconic Baguette bag in the very first opening look to a beautifully adorned Peekaboo, and a new, highly desirable half-moon leather bag. Strength and femininity remain Maria Grazia Chiuri’s guiding principles as she contributes to the artistic renewal and the predictable success of this new Fendi—while preserving its original heritage. Her 2026 heroine strides forward with confidence—sometimes in a fully sheer lace dress. In her hand: a scarf emblazoned with the word “Impact.” It says it all.
