LOEWE ADDS MODERN STRUCTURED BAG TO ITS ICONS: THE POSTAL
14-October-2019
LOEWE’s latest bag –the Postal– is set to join the brand’s iconic designs, including the Puzzle, Hammock and Gate bags, with a worldwide release on 8 August, a pre-launch in China from 15 July, and a series of drops across the autumn months. Inspired by bag styles of the past while reflecting today’s fashion sensibility, the Postal is among the brand’s first bags under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson to feature a rigid frame. The firm structure is covered with the supple leather of highest quality that the house is known for.
The Postal will come in a range of variations, from solid-coloured options to one-of-a-kind versions animated by playful designs, including a special limited- edition series featuring illustrations of major world cities — including Madrid, Barcelona, London, Paris, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Beijing.
Applied to the Postal’s sides employing advanced craft techniques like leather marquetry, the vintage-looking urban vignettes evoke the classic postcards that informed the bag’s shape. In that spirit, all Postal bags are ‘stamped’ with an engraved Anagram on the upper right corner.
Available in two sizes, the Postal bag pre-launches in China in July 2019.
To celebrate chinese Saint Valentine’s Day, a special variation of the bag featuring a Dove design, symbolising a universal celebration of love and peace, will be exclusively available in China. The Barcelona Postal bag will be exclusively available in our Paseo de Gracia store.
