Lebanese Meghli Recipe

Ingredients
½ cup of ground rice
4 ½ cups of water
12 tablespoons of honey
6 tablespoons of sugar
3 tablespoons of cinnamon
½ tablespoon of caraway
1 tablespoon of soft anise
½ cup dried coconut
½ cup pistachios, soaked in water
½ cup walnuts soaked in water
½ cup peeled almonds, soaked in water
½ cup of pine soaked in water
How to prepare
Put rice and water in a pot over the fire, stir for two minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients and continue stirring over low heat until the mixture thickens. It is important to keep stirring so that the rice does not lump at the bottom of the pot!
Remove the pot from fire, then pour the mixture into serving cups. Leave them at room temperature until they cool down.
Place Meghli cups in refrigerator.
When serving the Meghli, sprinkle coconut on top and garnish it with nuts.
