Dressed in Chanel, Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi Light up Paris Premiere of Wuthering Heights

«Bonsoir Paris !» is a classic that never fails, and to the great delight of the fans who had flocked to the Grand Rex that night… and Jacob Elordi did not hesitate to use it. The American actor was in Paris with the Wuthering Heights cast on February 2 for the film’s Paris premiere.

On stage, before the screening, the actor put on a bit of a show. As he greeted the audience in French, the host suggested continuing the conversation in the same language—an idea the American immediately declined.

Chanel red takes center stage

While Jacob Elordi shone for his efforts in French, Margot Robbie once again proved she is a true fashion figure. The Australian actress appeared in a custom-made Chanel gown designed by Matthieu Blazy, the new artistic director of the French house. “It’s a tremendous honor to wear this outfit designed by Matthieu,” she told Vogue US. She continued: “It’s the first Chanel look he has created for me that I’m wearing on the red carpet, and I couldn’t imagine a more special occasion than Wuthering Heights, a project that is particularly close to my heart.”

A gown to match the carpet

The gown features a corseted bodice. The burgundy velvet draping, adorned with feathers and silk petals, cascades voluminously over an ivory silk underskirt. “The colors were carefully chosen to harmonize with the premiere’s red carpet,” Margot Robbie explained. As for accessories, she wore more than 100 carats of jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz. A majestic appearance that is sure to whet fans’ appetites ahead of the film’s release on February 13.
