Yes you can wear leather in summer, although we are sure it’s not the first fabric that will pop into your head when you think of summer wardrobe. You are probably imagining yourself melting in your leather pants or dress under the summer sun, but if you choose a thinner, lighter type of leather, you will be just fine, especially with the below-freezing temperatures in your office, at the restaurant, or at the mall.
From the timeless black to bright colors and warm tones, and from biker jackets to pants, shorts and dresses, leather is one of this season’s and next summer’s biggest trends. There are so many ways in which you can add leather to your summer wardrobe, that’s why we’ve gathered for you the best street style looks for some major inspo.
And to take things further, we’ve created a whole summer look for you to shop in a few clicks, inspired by one of the street style looks spotted at Spring 2021 London fashion week.
We started with belted high-rise leather trousers by the Vienna-based label loved by fashion editors and celebs, Petar Petrov. We teamed the pants with a white cotton-blend top that we will tuck inside the pants (we just love the puffed sleeves embroidered with black flowers), chain-detail sandals by cult brand Bottega Veneta and a shoulder croc-embossed leather bag by Kuwait-based label Moni & J. To add even more edge to this casual yet effortlessly elegant look, we went for a silver-tone and leather necklace by Paco Rabanne. Now you have a spring-summer casual-chic leather outfit with a dash of edgy. Ready to rock this summer?
