Beauty in the Details: Mckenna Grace Wears The Hunger Games Poster as a Couture Piece of Art

Some red-carpet looks stand out for their originality, and Mckenna Grace’s latest appearance is a perfect example as the 20-year-old actress has transformed the world of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping into a wearable work of art.

For the film’s UK premiere at Westfield London, the actress did more than choose a beautiful red-carpet gown - stepped out in a striking creation by ALmée Couture, from the house’s Le Jardin des Rêves Spring/Summer 2027 collection. At first glance, the gown feels like a custom design created exclusively for the occasion. Look a little closer, however, and its real inspiration becomes clear: the film’s official poster.

The resemblance is remarkable. Across the bodice, intricate embroidery recreates a swirling sky in shades of blue and silver, giving way to a purple mountain range, lush green meadows and colourful wildflowers. The landscape continues down the gown, where three-dimensional purple flowers cascade from the hips onto a sheer, embellished skirt.

What makes this look particularly compelling is the precision of the reference. Rather than simply choosing a floral gown to echo the film’s nature-inspired imagery, Grace wears a design that mirrors the official poster itself. Place the two side by side, and the resemblance becomes impossible to miss.

Throughout the promotional tour, Grace and her stylist, Molly Dickson, have embraced the art method dressing, drawing inspiration from the franchise’s characters, costumes and symbolism.

But what is even more impressive is that despite its uncanny connection to the film, the design was not custom-made for Grace. In fact, it was her mother who discovered the dress and sent it to Dickson, who recognised its potential for the London premiere.

It is a brilliant styling find, and a reminder that creating a memorable fashion moment does not always require a bespoke piece. Sometimes, it comes down to recognising the right design and understanding exactly how it fits into a bigger story!
