Turkish Gozleme pies with lamb



The dough

2 and a quarter cups of flour

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup of yogurt

1/2 cup of water


The filling

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 onion chopped

2 cloves garlic mashed

200 g minced meat اللحم

1 tablespoon of tomato paste

1 teaspoon chopped coriander

1 teaspoon paprika

2 teaspoons cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup chopped spinach

1/2 cup chopped parsley

1/2 cup of crumbled feta

1 chopped tomato


How to prepare

Mix the flour and salt in a bowl, then add the water and yoghurt until the mixture is homogeneous. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and knead by hand for 5 minutes, then cover and set aside.

In a pot on the stove, cook onions and garlic in oil for 3 minutes.

Add meat until browned, then tomato paste, coriander, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper. Add spinach and cook for a few minutes. Set aside to cool.

At this time, divide the dough into 4 sections, and then roll each one into a rectangle.

Spread the filling on each rectangle, then add the parsley, feta and tomatoes. Apply and place in an oiled frying pan until golden on both sides.

Cut each piece in half and serve with lemon slices and olives.
