Couture week is back stronger this year. While models walked the runways in fresh new designs and while street style gurus showed off their show-inspired looks, we were here spotting new makeup trends to add to our summer list. Now let’s zoom in on the eyes and enjoy the beautiful yet edgy details we are going for this season. If you’re on it with us, here are two makeup trends we fell in love with on day one of the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 Couture shows.
The colored eyeshadow
Couture week obviously wants to bring back the pre-pandemic fun, because we saw runways bursting with colors and fun styles. Colorful makeup was also a thing. We spotted eyeshadows in shiny purple at Armani Privé and in blue-ish lilac at Schiparelli. Both joyful and glittery shades are definitely on our list this summer.

The Double Liners
At Dior, the eyeliner was hugging the eye sharply, from every corner and yes, we loved the edgy vibes there. Makeup artist Peter Philips' structured-yet-smoky underliner gave the look its bold vibe and we might need such a trend to rock a statement look. What made Dior’s eyeliner so different is the deep blue colored eyeliner. We missed such a great glam.
At Chanel, things weren’t so different with a rock’n’roll vibe. We spotted the Mohawk hairstyle and the double liner and we are totally in love. A duo of wings stacked the upper and lower lids in a mix of soft midnight blue and sharp black.
Guess what? The rest of the makeup was barely-there and extremely fresh.
