The Best Runway Looks From New York Fashion Week SS22
Christina Jaber
13-September-2021
As Spring/Summer 2022 New York Fashion Week Kicked off last week, we had our radars ready to spot the best moments on the runways.
Fashion weeks are finally back IRL with actual in-person shows, and many designers are back on the runways for the first time since March 2020. New York Fashion Week that started on the 9th of September exceeded our expectations. Party dresses were back stronger, suits made their appearances everywhere, cut-outs and sequins, feathers and ruffles, and many other fun details were spotted on the runways.
While the beauty trends were screaming Party Mode On, the designs weren’t less than that, so keep scrolling and meet your fashionable go-to’s in Spring 2022.
Extra Sleeves
Puffy shoulders were already there on the runways during the last few seasons, but for SS22 they’ll be here oversized and extremely exaggerated. At Carolina Herrera, we spotted them very puffy like two big balloons as they completed every party dress and gave it the statement feel. At Rodarte they came slumped and big.

Cutest Co-ords
We love co-ords. They come together and can be styled in playful ways. On the runway, they came really cute and beautiful. At Brandon Maxwell, we saw them in a spiral print in pink and navy blue, and they came in classy red at Altuzarra. However, if you love pink like we do, Michael Kors’ design is the cutest.

Full Sequins
It’s time to switch from movie night parties and cozy pajamas to actual parties and full sequined dresses. We loved the long cut-out dress in shimmery purple at Sergio Hudson and the full-black midi dress at Michael Kors. Do not hesitate to show off your sense of fashion and love for glitters and sequins with these dresses. Style them with minimal accessories to avoid exaggeration.

Suited Up
Remember the semi-oversized suit you picked for your office looks? Well it’s back with a stronger style for summer.

We loved the printed silk suit at Brandon Maxwell and the Office edition oversized suit at Philip Lim 3.1.

For The Love Of Bows
We love the little details that actually make a difference. At Carolina Herrera, a simple bow gave the whole look a very special vibe, and at Moschino, the bright yellow couldn’t get more playful without those little bows.
