Are Second Children Always the Trouble Makers?
Well, scientists say so.
17-July-2017
It’s official, second children are cursed. And it goes way back to the medieval days when they would kill their older sibling in order to get the power, or at least daddy’s inheritance. Yes, second-born kids are more likely to cause trouble. According to statistics, second-born boys are 20 to 40 per cent more likely to get suspended in school or even go to prison, but don’t worry; most of them wouldn’t murder their own sibling in this century (maybe).
MIT economist, Joseph Doyle, also suggests that the ‘curse of the second-born child’ is actually true, stating that younger brothers and sisters tend to break rules more often. Why? Because they usually receive less affection and commitment from their parents while growing up.
So, are you one of those trouble-makers?
