At the heart of this unique offering is a limited-edition collection of five bespoke kaftans, created in collaboration with celebrated Middle Eastern designer Dima Ayad, echoing the resort’s art collection, a visual narrative shaped by the historic route connecting East and West.
Inspired by traditional Asian silhouettes and the fluidity of ocean tides, the designs are individually paired with Mandarin Oriental’s signature suites as the collection pays homage to the hotel’s distinctive aesthetic, mirroring the deep hues of the sea, the inspiring glow of the iconic lobby trees, and the tranquil beauty of its golden shoreline.
Dima’s designs celebrate individuality while embodying the elegance and sophistication synonymous with Dubai's style and innovation. These artisanal creations reflect the essence of a woman who is self-assured, radiant and limitless, much like the Silk Road itself, where every destination becomes part of a greater story.
The fabrics used to create this limited Capsule Collection include flowy silk and viscose in an ombre blue and orange combination resembling the essence of the sea, pleated metallic, a silk voile fabric with tone on tone sequins in ivory and mint green, and a linen fabric intricately embellished with sequins, inspired by the floral motifs found throughout the serene interiors of Mandarin Oriental.
