Common Kin, a contemporary womenswear brand inspired by Korean aesthetics and emotional storytelling, is stepping into the spotlight for the first time in the UAE.
Founded by Svetlana Kasymalieva and Akina Sultanova of Central Asian origin, Common Kin brings a refined sensibility to modern fashion, one that blends cinematic Korean elegance with a global, mindful approach. The name “Common Kin” speaks to the invisible threads that connect people , not just through family, but through shared values, beauty, and cultural nuance. This sense of kinship is woven into every garment through a commitment to slow fashion, emotional craftsmanship, and sustainable production practices.
Each piece is designed in Korea and produced in collaboration with ethical manufacturers using eco-conscious fabrics like organic cotton, sustainable viscose, and premium linen.
“Our goal was always to create clothing that made women feel like the heroine of their own story , soft yet strong, understated yet unforgettable,” said Akina, co-founder of Common Kin. “We were drawn to the quiet elegance and emotional depth of Korean design, and we wanted to bring that spirit to Dubai in a way that felt intentional, soulful, and lasting.”
The Paper Moon Capsule Collection, available now at www.commonkin.store, introduces minimal yet emotive silhouettes, flowing dresses, timeless separates, and effortless layers. Designed for gallery visits, slow mornings, and meaningful moments, each garment is made to last beyond trends and seasons.
