Sarah’s Bag Showcases Lebanese Heritage Through "In Her Hands

Lebanese fashion label Sarah’s Bag made will be present at the leading design exhibition “We Design Beirut”, celebrating the artistry and cultural heritage of handmade craftsmanship.

Evoking the intimate gatherings of women in their weaving circles, the brand’s piece features over fifty handmade vintage crochet bedspreads, lovingly collected from villages across Lebanon, from Zgharta to Baakline, and from Beirut to Tyre. These intricately crocheted and hand-finished heirlooms cascade downward in a dramatic column, resembling an unrolled archive of collective memory.

Surrounding the column, eight pieces from real trousseaus showcase precious, fading crafts — from Needlework and Smoking to Milan and Ajour, revealing the artistry and stories of the women who created them.

Moving beyond nostalgia, Sarah’s Bag reframes these forgotten crafts as expressions of design: inventive, meticulous, and deeply intertwined with women’s cultural continuity, and creative legacy.
