Bal des Débutantes 2025: an Enchanting Evening in Paris

This Saturday, the Shangri-La Paris hosted the traditional Bal des Débutantes, during which nineteen young women, aged 17 to 21, were formally presented to society, each escorted by her cavalier. Announced by Stéphane Bern, each debutante stepped forward beneath the gilded halls of the avenue “Palais d'Iéna”, dressed in a haute couture gown and adorned with jewelry.

Guests were introduced to Princess Eulalia d’Orléans Bourbon, wearing a beautifully cut silver-patterned gown by Tony Ward Couture;

Carolina Lansing, granddaughter of Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera, who opted for a stunning black-and-white polka-dot creation by her grandmother;

Joséphine Haas, in a spectacular white-and-gold gown by Chinese couturière Guo Pei;

Alice Wang, daughter of Chuanfu Wang and Stella Li, in Vera Wang;

Lady Araminta Spencer-Churchill, daughter of the 12th Duke of Marlborough, who captivated attention in a fluid lace Giorgio Armani Privé dress;

Bronwyn Vance, daughter of American actress and director Angela Bassett and actor Courtney B. Vance, who brought a touch of Hollywood glamour. She arrived in a sublime white Stéphane Rolland haute couture gown with gold floral motifs, escorted by her twin brother, Slater.

After the presentation of the debutantes came an elegant dinner followed by the famous Ball. The young women opened the evening with a waltz danced with their fathers before taking to the floor with their cavaliers in full formal attire.

The evening raised funds for the Association for Research in Cardiology from Fetus to Adult (Arcfa) and its New York counterpart, the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Founded within the Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital, Arcfa aims to improve the quality of care provided to children with cardiac malformations and heart diseases.
