Lebanese Designers in Paris Couture Week
Marvelous, as expected.
9-July-2018
This season’s Paris Couture Week is simply phenomenal, and just look at all those talented Lebanese designers, they make us proud!
Elie Saab
Elie Saab’s Fall – Winter 2018/2019 collection is far from what we’ve expected, and we love it! His latest collection is inspired by Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia architecture. What mostly caught our attention was the dramatic sleeve designs which reminded us of the shapes on the face of the famous Catalan cathedral.
Rabih Kayrouz
Rabih Kayrouz showed off his latest collection called “Yalla”, and as you can imagine, it’s inspired by the Lebanese culture! The creator’s collection features abayas, babouches and blazers.
Zuhair Murad
Murad’s inspiration: Imperial Russia. The show was opened by the Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, so you can imagine how crazy the crowd was! The looks go from silver sparkling gowns to traditional bridal looks, to jewel-embroidered dresses.
Georges Hobeika
Georges Hobeika’s inspiration was Swan Lake! The top of the long-sleeved dresses are adorned with lots and lots of embroidery, the edges of the skirts have feathers, the sparkling fringes... We are in love.
