A perfume made from rose petals more precious than actual gold.

Beirut, March 7, 2019. An exclusive gathering at ABC Ashrafieh in the presence of the Middle East’s leading beauty and fashion editors as well as top VIP ladies and social influencers to celebrate the launch of Chopard’s latest fragrance Rose de Caroline, a perfume made from rose petals more precious than actual gold.
According to Caroline Scheufele, artistic director and co-president of Chopard, one can wear all the diamonds and cashmere in the world to dress rich but your fragrance choice might just be holding you back. “I believe you can smell the difference between the chemical fragrances and the luxururious and natural ones” and she has a point. Chopard used 300,000 rose petals to create only one liter of the essential oil used to make the perfume “Rose de Caroline”, so it’s a real jewel in the air.
The fragrance, created by the renowned master perfumer Alberto Morillas, was inspired by Caroline’s own rose garden. It not only contains the rare Bulgarian rose oil, but it’s also made of Centifolia rose absolute oil and essences of Patchouli, Cedar, Cypriol as well as vanilla from Madagascar, cardamom and cinnamon.
The bottle, shaped like an emerald-cut diamond, has a gold-toned cap representing the “Palme d'Or” (Golden Palm) award given to winners at the Cannes Film Festival.
The guests all agreed that “Rose de Caroline” is a fragrance with an intense trail that reveals all the sensitivity and elegance of a woman of character. She is a woman attentive to her femininity, in search of excellence and positive luxury.
